Thanks for the offer, but there are other Basenji plush toys on eBay that are only $17 bucks. (From the German Basenji Club lot)
And a numbered edition for $35. No offence (I seem to say that a lot here...) but $65 for one of these is a bit rediculous, don't you think?

There are a couple of the colors there that are sold out, though. And the quality of these is FAR superior to ones you will find on ebay for cheap. These ones were a fundraiser for the Northern California Basenji club (sorry Pat, can't remember the official name). A LOT of us collected them all, but some people didn't get in in time to get the reds and tris, and they are gone for the original price.
Just sayin....some people might pay that much, if they want the sold out colors.

They were a fun rasier for the Basenji Club of Northern California, like Andrea said. Red, Tri and B&W are sold out. There are a few Brindles remaining.
They are, even if I say so myself, far superior then the ones on ebay for 17.00... and they tried to clone our fund raiser.
I think the Germany ones you are talking about are the Steiff Basenjis? If so they are a total different thing and NOT a plush toy... along with being 1/3 of the size.
There are the "baby" B toys (the ones laying down), those are by the same mfg and design as the BCONC fund raiser, just smaller and laying down... and totally cute too.

The ones you quote here are the smaller version (about 1/4 of the size and laying down by the same mfg as the ones that BCONC did as a fund raiser and are not sold out yet..)
I bought a black/white (Duke) from BCOA when they were selling them. Then just before we brought Daisy home, I bought the Tri laying down. It was so fitting - my big boy Duke standing over my little tri pup Daisy. I think that with shipping and handling, paid no more than $20-25 each. Gosh - for $250, I oughta put them in acrylic cases to sell in the very distant future. These are stuffed animals that are actually mine - not the dogs.

Actually it was BCONC that sold them and remember this was a one time limited edition offer... they will not be offered again...
Please note I am not saying anyone should buy them.. but other then the Brindle, they are no longer available...

That's right - the BCONC (acronyms....and memory problem here) :o
They are very cute. If I wasn't so crazy about my dogs or happen to have a little selfish streak ... it didn't break the bank. They are worth whatever someone's willing to pay.

Exactly.. as with anything... they are worth what people might pay for them..

I am not asking you to buy them if you don't want to.
That's my asking price and since they are (except brindle)
no longer available for purchase and are limited edition,
you can only buy them from private collectors like myself.
I know you didn't pay that much for them when bought
originally from the BCONC, but now they are sold out, you can't
buy them even if you are willing to pay $100 a piece unless
someone like myself is selling their own collection.
I am sure you can find them cheaper elsewhere.
What I am saying is...if you don't think it's worth that much,
I am not asking you to buy them.

BROKE! LOL
Trying to sell some of my basenji stuff to help pay the bills!! :o)
Not a whole lot, taking a break from showing.
I don't have anything to show, but went to the Denver show couple weeks
ago and had a ball. Showed a couple dogs for friends and
felt good to be back in the ring.
Showing is my thing, just love handling!
But I am not going to the show just to be a spectator.
It hurts to see other people showing dogs and I am just
standing ring side to watch! So rather not go!
