picture problems

I can post pictures to my gallery just fine.
I cannot post pictures to respond to someone else's threads.
I have uploaded pictures to free online sites as suggested in your instructions then try to insert them in the thread (with the little picture icon) and with the IMG tags on both ends. Sometimes the IMG tags and the link show up in the posted thread and sometimes even that doesn't show up. When responding to a thread, I have no "manage attachment" option in the respond window. That only shows up with the gallery uploads or if I start a new thread.
So what gives? Why can I not insert pictures when responding to other people?

Are you using quick reply rather than "Post Reply"? Sometimes that might do it... Additionally, depending on what site you use to upload and store your photos, some of them don't allow 'hotlinking' which would prevent your picture from being seen here.

make sure you are copying the entire IMG code -- If the little brackets [ ] are not at the beginning and the end, you will only get the code printed out and not the photo.

You can actually post pictures from the gallery if your photos are already uploaded into the member gallery.

I tried again (see my response to "does yours do it too" in the behavioral folder). I used the "quick reply" window and a picture from my gallery on this site. This time it doesn't even post the [IMG]linkcode[IMG] in my response - it doesn't show anything at all.
I can insert a link for people to follow (by not including the IMG tags) on their own but not the picture.
