i got my basenji lilly without much thought or preperation...ive never had a dog in my life and when i turned 18 i went to the local SPCA and saw my boo and fell in love there was nothing on the face of the planet that could stop me form taking her home with me...being so young i didnt think much about the breed and there,quirks....but when i got her home and she did some crazy things i didnt know what to do.

i wish i had found this sooner.ive learned alot about basenjis by now but this is such a awsome place to ask people who know about basenjis for help...i love lilly more then anything and i want to take the utmost care for her...the best she can get...

Or at least have a sympathetic community with which to share your grief!

THAT is so true i got sked by my friend so often in the begning why i kept her after she showed me all her weirdness
