I just did a search for basenji breeders in CT and that one came up and is literally 3 miles from where I live... just curious if I have a legitimate fellow basenji person near me??

ah yes.... i did read that now that I think back.

I just emailed her to see if i could swing by and meet her and her basenjis - as a fellow basenji lover and since we are practically neighbors! I miss seeing other basenjis!

Hello!! Im actually buying a Basenji from her right now! I did a home visit and her B's are GORGIOUS In my opinion! She tests, has a great show record and I can tell by the visit she takes SUPER good care of her b's! Does anyone know anything else? So far I have visited three breeders in Ohio and Ct and Gretchen is BY FAR my favorite. hope I helped!

Not that I am doubting if she is a responsible breeder or not, as I don't know this person (have heard of the kennel name, however), but hopefully anyone that is considering a puppy from any breeder does their own checking and verifies testing information at www.offa.org. A responsible breeder should be "pleased" that you care enough to check on your own.

Sounds awesome. Im stationed in Groton at the sub base my DH is a submariner. Id LOVE to have a playdate with the puppy!! Socialization is SO important!!
