Visitor Messaging on Profiles

Do we get an email notification if someone leaves a visitor message on our profile? I got one but I didn't know to look that it was there.

Okay, I get it. There is a notification at the very top by your profile name.

I like this new messaging feature (even though I'm such a dunce with new technology). I think I've got the "hang" of it.
And I definitely like the new way of adding photos to a discussion. And the thumbnail arrangement - as much as I like looking at pictures it was getting a bit much with some of the overly large pictures inserted in discussion.

When I reply to someone, are they automatically notified when I click "post message"?
If not what else do I need to do?
Also if there are two messages in my box, does my reply go to the last one or to all?

You reply goes to the last message. The user will be automatically be notified.

I just found 2 message on my board, but had not gotten any notification. One message had been there for several days. Do I need to check it every day or so?

We will look into it. I believe there is no email notification, but in the top right corner of the screen where it says "Welcome, MacPack" there should have been a link saying you have messages.
