Why are all these threads about commercial dog food being posted? Are they the equivalent of spam emails?

Yes it's spam. There have been a few lately. They are posting under 8 or more threads, and the messages only have an email link and no explanation or anything else.

Yep, I just email the administor when they start to appear and she deletes the poster or should I say imposter.

I used that little exclamation sign in the far right upper corner to notify that I though these were spams. Is that correct..?
