Please go to Basenjirescue.org and join as a member. It will show you are serious about helping. BRAT always needs good foster homes. A home visit will be required (not sure if that is possible at this time considering this COVID-19 crisis). It is especially helpful if you have basenji experience. Not always, but very often, a basenji coming into rescue has special needs (i.e., behavioral, medical, etc.). It is good to ask yourself if you and your family are willing to deal with that. Fostering is hard but it can also be a wonderful and rewarding thing to do.
WV-Parkersburg-6 Month Male Basenji Mix-In Shelter
-
He was still available earlier this week. Here is what the shelter had to say about him: Yes he is still available. No he does not bark a lot. He has no vision trouble. We don't know if he is good with cats, but we can sure find out. We have free roaming kitchen cats that we test our dogs with.
He is a cutie. He has one blue eye so I did inquire about his eyesight. The shelter thinks he might be part Huskie.
The shelter is located approximately 80 miles north of Charleston WV, 115 miles southeast of Columbus OH and 150 miles southwest of Pittsburgh PA. This is a rural shelter.
