I would take her in a heartbeat if I had room.. unfortunately I'm pushing my limits with my father already, as I've saved a few cats while living with him again. She sounds like a wonderful dog. I have no doubt that the bites were provoked. Dogs, especially Basenjis, can be very sensitive. If you don't understand that you're dealing with an animal that has feelings too, you're in trouble. I will keep her in my prayers. May she find the best fur-ever home!
FL-Land O'Lakes-Female B Mix-Possibly PB
-
There is a female red & white B mix at this shelter which is located just north of Tampa in the next county. I used to live in Pasco County years ago. She looks close to PB. I have not contacted the shelter to see if she is still available. I have not contacted BRAT about her. Is there anyone who lives close who could take a look at her?
Here is her petfinder webpage:

Sure looks p/b to me! Do you want me to contact BRAT?
-
Yes, Sharron, please contact BRAT. I was hoping someone in the area could take a look at her on Saturday to see if she was a PB. She could be a poorly bred PB B. She looks like she may have front flat splayed paws so perhaps she was a kennel dog-kept on a wire crate.

I may be picking her up tomorrow if local BRAT person can take her (and make the arrangements). She looks as 'pure' as the Wimauma pack, similar head. Will know more in the morning.

She certainly does look pure - think it's wonderful that you may be taking her to BRAT, MacPack.
