Does anyone know this e-book on training?

I have a 10 week old puppy that I'm crate training. She's doing pretty well but does have accidents because, as I mentioned in a previous post, no one in my family watches her as closely as they should when I'm at work. Fortunately, I work nights 7pm-7am (3 night/week) so she's asleep most of the time that I'm gone. She does make it outside the vast majority of the time.

When she does go in the house she usually goes on my older dog's bed. I guess because it's absorbant.

So, I see a lot of talk here about litterboxes. I have never heard of litterbox training a dog and I'm curious how it works. I don't really like the idea of the her peeing or pooing in the house at all, but since I'm having this problem I think its better than letting her go on the dog bed. Will it slow down the housebreaking at all?

If she is peeing on your other dogs bed, I would first look at the reason being she is wanting to be dominate over the other day and "marking" the bed.

Consider this: I sent a puppy home with an experienced Basenji person (except it had been quite a while since they had a puppy around)… they had a 10yr old son, Stephen. The second night the puppy (Crystal) got on his bed and peed.... They called me cause they thought that was pretty funny, I said, she is marking his bed, she wants to climb the social ladder and be above him. They didn't believe me.... After she did it 4 more times, for 4 nights in a row, up went the gate so that she couldn't get in that room.... and very, very few times did she ever have an accident in the house

She was 9wks when they took her home.

yess it was a great day 😃 cant wait to see the pictures of Job ( Janneke's boyfriend ) that he made from our dogs too!
we only took our galgo and 2 ibizans to the coursing, that gives us all our hands full enough haha the basenjis and our oldest ibizan hound can come the next time, allthough they enjoy the racing track too! ( the settlement of the racing track allows us to take all dogs at the same time and not having our hands full with these 6 haha )

I loved to see Barry (the galgo) run.. he ran beautiful…. 😃

Shelley, You are right, the motivation "has" to be there, or it probably won't work. This is the first time I have taken OC with any of my dogs so I am sceptical, but highly motivated…my B will get this done.. My westie, Bogus never even learned how to crate properly...he kept on pooping in the crate and then sleep in it...nothing bothered him, noot even stinking like a dog pile. The crate I used for him was actually so small, after a lot of trials and errors and he still pooped..that is when we gave up. He did great with puppy pads..for peeing, not for pooping, that he did right next to the pad, like it wasn't supposed to get dirty or something..silly dog. He is not with us anymore, he just passed in late march.

I have a 5yo BRAT boy that I am working on crate training. He would "explode" and freak out when I would try it.
I then got a carrier (more den like than the wire crate) and put it in his "room". The first week, I left the door open. Then I started giving him treats by it, then inside it. Now, the only place he gets the "high value" treats is in his crate. I have left him in there for a little bit and he didnt "explode"- so it is slowly working. But with our older B's it takes more time.
Get a soft bed or comfy blanket for it and some great treats (turkey, cheese, something really good) and only let her have them in there.
