Non-Basenji (but very striking)

Joan, I said it was a longer story!

@CrazyBasenjiMom I live in the very Southern tip of Indiana & we get some pretty cold winters & there's a lot of humidity so it's a real "biting" cold & if the winds blowing ~ it feels like razor blades are in it!! If no one else wants the sweaters, I'd be glad to have them for my next b that I'm waiting on getting!! But if someone else lives in a colder area & wants them, they can get them! If no one else wants them, I'll be happy to have them. Before my Mother passed last yr., she'd knit up one for everyday of the week & one to wear on wash-day!! 🙂

Aloof towards strangers - both me and the dogs – yes, me/them too.
Stubborn - definitely both - We prefer the term indepentent thinkers
Very inquisitive (have to know what is going on) - yup - well, them yes, me not so much.
High strung - hooboy!
Active yet can be very lazy…. also totally us.
Smart/learn quickly - them yes - me - well, they teach very well but me? - see "determined" above.

They certainly are DIVINE! There a couple other things that go along with this…He mentioned how they like to lick the water off his feet when he gets out of the shower, and Lulu does this to me all the time...Another is whenever I walk them, they go crazy lunging towards the fire hydrants, not to pee, but to smell...I always assumed they are doing it to smell other dogs' markings, but maybe the water as well. They don't go crazy like that with other places dogs mark, at least not as fervously...It would be interesting to take them out to the dester and let them look for water, and start digging wherever they start hovering... anyone want to try?

I am just loving these responses from my husband's post!!!:D:D ROFL at the thought of him running through the house with the TP!:eek: I guess I should maybe pay a little bit more attention to him.;) That wine and Barry White music could maybe convince me to notice him more…:o
