There's nothing like a basenji in the works, from the way they instinctively lay with their had on the bum looking the other way ( I've never met a B that doesn't) to the way you KNOW they all rub on wet towels or play bow…it's all very endearing and in this breed you often identify traits that they all have, an insight into their genetics and their behaviors. I've never enjoyed a breed so much.

I have never seen it before, but I am sure it was a basenji, rather chubby, tail a little fuzzy, but the "brother" barked and barked..he only wimpered..so funny because it totally perplexed Pippin...he didn't know what to think of it.
I hope I run it to the owners one day..then I'll find out for sure..but this little fella..or girlie was a true basenji look alike..
These dogs were both our in the fenced in yard..so I didn't get too close as it was on private property..Pretty cool though..
