sinbaje, this is why I appealed to the forum. I knew there'd be several smarter and/or more knowledgable people able to help me. The whole genetics thing is still way over my head, so I hadn't thought that Lola's mom COULDN'T be behind Booger (although yodeldogs may have explained this to me a dozen times and it didn't sink in yet)β¦ Lola's mom was brindle I think. I know I was shown a picture of a brindle that was one of her parents anyway.
The breeder's name is Carrie from what I remember. Her son's name is Destin Brown, and that's what her dogs are currently registered under (or Booger's & Lola's litters were anyway).
She lived in Calhoun, GA (for all I know she's still there, but it seems she sold all of her basenjis after I explained Fanconi to her), and I know her sister helped her raise litters at her own house as well, so her sister might be named Tammy.
Good morning mom and dad

I'd like to share one of my favorite things about my B since it seems I complain most of the time about his tazie behavior. When our B first came to live with us he was sleeping on our daughter's bed but after he peed on it he started sleeping with us. We decided it best that he sleep on the floor in a doggie bed you know for hygenic reasons. Anyway one morning he woke up at the brake of dawn and started chewing up my clothes so I decided to put him on the bed with me so I can get some shut eye for a few more hours. He loved this. Now every morning as soon as he hears any movement he comes to my bed side, gently scratches me on the arm so I can lay him in bed with us. He goes right inbetween my husband and I. I love this!!! Moments like these make having such a wild, tazmanian, strong willed furry baby so worth all those moments of aghhhhhhh. Wish I was home with him right now. I tell you, I love this little brat.

Yea, aren't they the loveinest breed you have ever seen. My baby sleeps with me every nite when Dad runs us out of the bedroom. My hubby snores so LOUD, I have to get up and Sahara will follow, otherwise she is right between us. Sahara surfs my tables everyday and usually I find myself running after her for something she has stolen, and I get mad, but what the heck, I love her sooooooooo much, probably too much. She got my glasses today, I don't know how as I had them up high, she must of stretch herself out of joint to get those, haha!!!! Thank God she didn't scratch my lenses, she went out of the doggie door with glasses in her mouth, I thought I was going to lose it, but she dropped them, came back in and hubby held her while I went outside to pick them up. She gives us plenty of excerise, and at night we do the B-500 run as I am saying, "I am going to get you, Sahara". She loves to burn off energy this way, and I laugh until I am weak. She goes all over the house jumping on couches, chairs and anything in her way. Like, I said, "I LOVE THIS DOG"!!!!!!!:D

You have to love them in order to live with them. And honestly I feel like I may love our B too much also since I wish I could just spend every moment with him. Even when I'm running after him mumbling some not so very nice phrases, seconds later I'm wrapped around those little paws again. Yes that stetching of paws..have never seen anything like that. They are so much like cats in that senseβ¦my dog even stretches like them. I feel like I have the complete pachage..a bunch of animals in our one B!
