We're thinking about having another lure coursing fundraiser in November. It was so much fun this last time. Here is the photo album from the photographer. He's a bit of a goof (and looks like a kangaroo in the pic :) ). I was more thrilled to watch him run than Zoni. I met 3 other basenji owners (2 new) that would also love to have a tucson meet. I know at least one of them is going to Reid park on Sunday for the agility event, and I will probably be there. If we can get a big meetup scheduled, it would be great as we would have probably around a dozen or more if people bring a few of their multiples.

I only remembered about this last night, thought it was in May actually at first - sorry. :o By then I thought it would be too late anyway! Hope it went well.

I will be there as well. I hope to see everyone and say "hi".

We live outside Jacksonville,Fl. but I have a son in Savannah that I visit. Seren Jane and I would love to meet with other Basenji's and their owners. How about when it gets a bit warmer? Keep in touch and let me know when we can meet up. :) My cousin who lives nearby has recently taken in a rescue Basenji perhaps she would bring Lily too. Lily has Fanconi, but is on medication and doing well. My cousin previously had 2 Basenji's until they passed away a few years ago.

@Tayda_Lenny: Yeah, it was in a hotel room. We snuck them in. shhhhhh…... I guess you got real lucky they didn't all start to Baroo at the same time… I think someone would have noticed that... lol Great pictures

@lukris: Yes, it will be nice to meet you too. We're on pretty late so hope you get there in plenty time.:) Hopefully as our plane is landing at 11.30 so should see them in the ring:D

There will be at least four basenjis at Ed Levin Park in Milpitas this Sunday from 11am. My husband and I have two, and a colleague of his has two as well. If any others would care to join us, it would be great to see you! (The park is 3100 Calaveras Rd Milpitas. There is an entrance fee for the park, but I think it's worth it, it's a really nice park, and the off leash dog enclosures are some of the nicest in the area. The dog park itself is a little tricky to find - ask at the booth, or email me if you'd like directions ) Pics to follow!

We are still in Reno but there is an even better dog park. I don't know which side of town you are located but it is definitly worth it. It is located in Hidden Valley-its called the Link Piazzo Dog park and it is fenced all the way around and they have a small dogs side and a large dogs side. I usually take Congo there and there is another B there that is a red and white B named Misty. I have had some problems up in Rancho San Rafael, especially since it is not fenced in and McCarran BLVD is right there.

@Elscodobermann: Lovely! i have just found out that our Glasgow office is under threat of closure (a week after getting promotion!), so might have to start some job hunting - not an ideal time to be going on a weeks holiday.. So sorry to hear this Scott, I know the feeling too well and it's not a good one.
