I have just got Saba's thyroid results back…

All good and normal, and TgAA negative :).

Mixed feelings about these. I was hoping that if he was H/T, I would have some answers about some of his ongoing issues, and medical problems. Now I just need to go back to the books, and continue researching, and educating myself

Now just waiting for his hips and elbows results, hopefully next week

Then that's it for the little man, then I can start this all over again, for Ochre, then Vanda later

Both come from one very good breeder in Holland, his whole kennel is tested clear.
We're going to test our Brindle one for hd and some more health tests (Buana is already tested before) and we will discuss it woth our vet.

He is very interested in Basenji's and knows a lot about Fanconi.

I am definelty going to take this information to them tonight when I pick Zahra up, she is there for a teeth cleaning right now.

She is not too young to be tested, but like Lisa said, unless you get the sample in by December 20th, you will have to wait till after February as they are going to concentrate on the Direct linkage test. And there is no reason that you can't wait at this point.. the linkage test was mainly for breeders this past breeding season. For you, I would say wait till after Bebruary and see if we get the direct test…. But you should at age two strip test until you do get the DNA test done

In order to do the DNA test you need to register/add your B to the CPP data base and print out the form for the test that tells your Vet how much blood and how/where to send.

Speaking of "desinger" breeds… my dh (for the longest time!) was trying to convince me to breed our Papillion to a mini daschund. All I could picture was huge ears that may or may not flip up at a moments notice, a super long body, and long legs. It would look like something out of a Salvidor Dali picture!!! EEk!
