Hi Sonnyboy, What a lovely picture and thanks for sharing this with others and making this thread, A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself. Do you have more pictures to share? Stones Sharp Accountants

I hadn't seen this old thread before. It brings back memories! When I was in my twenties there was a sod farm with a water reservoir across from the place where I boarded my horses, and on hot days we would jump on bareback, with only halters and lead ropes for control (didn't want to get the bridles soaked), and ride over there for a swim. The pond was 15 feet deep in the middle, and we used to swim across it. Once the horses lost the bottom, the water would stream over their backs as they stretched their necks out to swim. We would grab fistfuls of mane and float alongside them, making sure to be in the right spot to slide back on as they hit the shallows and scrambled up the bank. Good times!

@Schouiffy: Well, my pics are not uploaded quite yet.. but I have a Paso Fino mare I keep out by Stanford, and I had a half Arabian half Hanoverian as my jumping sport horse. =) I'm a major sucker for the Arabians.. =) Ooooh! I can't wait for the pictures. We had a half-Arab growing up - he was a handful! Beautiful, a bit high strung, very fun to ride. But he was so sweet - he turned to "mush" when we put a child on him. He really knew…I have very fond memories of him.

I've had a dog door in my sliding glass door, but I had one put in the wall when I got a nice new sliding glass door and didn't want to ruin the look (and some accessibility). I've had 3 basenjis over about 18 years, and they have loved being able to go out and sunbathe in the backyard whenever they feel like it. They stay in when it's raining or cold–but will go out to do their business.
  • Careful what comes in those doggie doors.

This is a tragic story. I would think the doggy door led into a yard with no fence.

@jys1011: I did see a commercial for that…it does sound like a good show. I'll have to check it out. I agree..altho it seems like ALL of Cesar's clients have the same issue :D don't they get it by now?? It's like the same story over & over again lol How very true, however it just goes to show what a big serious problem this is
