My 2 c worth - My wife is allergic to dogs and I am allergic to cats - so our B lives out on the porch / garden with the cats - very happily… Of course she loves to come inside and has twice showed her territorial rights and dis-pleasure at being banned from the bedroom by peeing on the (white) bedspread. last time it happened , I caught her , took her to the scene of the crime - spoke very sternly to her - and got "the look" - and then chucked her outside - she landed ok and sulked for a few hours but I ignored her for 24 hours except for the "bad dog" comments. She did the same at my tenants house - snuck in when not supervised - and similar treatment there ! That was embarrassing ! That was a year ago - no problems since - I think in my case it was a territorial problem ! kris

That picture looks exactly like our Ella. My wife has been saying the last several days how "gingery" her back has been getting. And a month or so ago the area behind her ears became extremely light colored.

Luny has done that once or twice (normally he's a once-a-day dog) when the temperature was really cold (below 0) here and he refused to go outside (except to pee next to the door).

Just a word about pyo….the ones that are the most deadly are called a 'closed pyometra'...meaning the infection is sealed in the uterus...nothing comes out..the dog just crashes. When their is fluid leaking you can catch it, and treat it. I think it is unlikely that Jazzy has a pyo, because her activity, and appetite are still relatively normal. A lot of bitches change a little during estrous...some get more crabby, some more clingy. Then when the added change of bringing in a boy, I would imagine she is just subdued :)
