This show, the largest in Canada is taking place Wed. Oct. 27 to Sun. Oct. 31.

There are basenjis being shown. I will be there to see the b's and if anyone else is coming, perhaps we could meet for a coffee?

@Roux I have to live with the dogs 24/7. The judge sees them for maybe 3 minutes. My preference tops his/hers !

True. I've been at many shows when another breed is 'hogging' the entrance and the people with the breed that is 'up' cannot get through without shoving someone aside to get to the ring opening.

yeah…that is a load 😉 that would mean that cows, horses, gorillas? wouldn't need teeth...

I agree that dogs probably shouldn't be penalized for missing an incisor...but does it lead to missing molars (big problem for crunching bones)...and missing canines (big problem for catching prey)?

I don't know, because I haven't run across more than one Basenji that was missing an incisor.

Well, when Rally had her emergency C-section, they did not "fix" her umbilical hernia but because of where they made the incision it did get rid of hernia. So maybe because they are so easily obliterated by abdominal surgeries they don't include them on the list.
