My new pup is on Natures Domain now, thats one reason I'm trying it, so she does not have any change in her food.

How much does she get in a day? I am glad to hear of this, as I really like the food and what it has done to my adult pups.

I'm not sure as she is still with her breeder he feeds 5 pups together using a mix of natures domain and goats milk. She is 6 weeks now so I image a cup a day which will taper off some by the time she comes to live with us at 10 weeks. I fed Xander a mixture with goats milk till he was 16 weeks.

Well Pippin had his first small serving of Nature's Domain grainfree food today…HAPPY PUPPY...he thought he had scored a big one..no more baby food (well after we transition all the way that is)...hehehe.
Thanks for all the help Lisa V, Pat and Lisa S -
I feed my kids a jar of human baby food with their supplements ground up in it every morning as they can find a pill tucked in anything and spit it out, but a jar of gerbers baby food with a ground up vitamin is acceptable to all. Its their special treat and they all line up to be given their little jars to lick clean. I first started doing this with Tasha when we took her for her first chemo treatment the vet gave her a jar after as a treat.

KiroGurl, if you are talking about the Nature's Domain foods..they are only available at Costco in huge 35lbs bags, here in Houston they are about $26 -$30 depending on what flavor..Salmon is a little more expensive..still cheap though in my opinion. But if you buy one of their bags (or anything else for that matter) and you or your dog end up not liking it..Costco will take it back no questions asked for a full refund.
My pups like both flavors and I oftern mix them together

One word of advise… 35lbs is a lot of food to go through when you are feeding one Basenji (or ever two for that matter)..... And it can go bad, so keep that in mind when buying such a large bag. If you have something that will vacuum seal, that would work so that you can store some and use some.
It takes my two over a month or more to go through 8lbs of dry food....

We used to feed ours Blue Buffalo until we realized they were not eating the little nutritional things in there. We now feed Nutro's Natural Choice and they are doing very well on it, coats shiny, no problems digesting, etc. We vary the type occasionally, but they seem to love the Chicken, Oatmeal and Rice formula the best.
